It’s So Much More Than Just “Losing Weight”
If you are on the path to reversing your diagnosis of type 2 diabetes, you are already aware of the fact that you are going to have to lose the excess weight that is wreaking havoc on your body.
But, dropping the weight in order to reverse your type 2 diabetes is just one small part of this process. The road you are about to embark upon is actually an entire life change . This process involves the whole person, and I guarantee that if you follow the instructions we provide you with, you will experience the success you desire. This is not a “quick weight loss” fad and it doesn’t include any supplements or drastic boot camp style tactics. That’s absolutelynot what you need.
In order to lose weight, get healthy, and most importantly…stay healthy, you are going to have to make some changes to your mental attitude, possibly face a few emotional issues, change some or all of your eating habits (slowly, over a reasonable time period), and begin an exercise program that will realistically fit into your unique lifestyle. We don’t guarantee that you can do this overnight….But we DO guarantee that you CAN do it!

We are all different and unique, and we are also all at different points in our weight loss and exercise. No one is right or wrong. As long as you’ve made the decision to begin, you are on the right path and you will get to where you are going as long as you stay on the path. That’s the key to everything…Making the decision and then staying there. Sounds easy in theory, but we both know that’s not always the case. If you are just beginning your journey to freedom from type 2 diabetes and starting from a point of obesity, developing a realistic workout program is a big step.
The topic of obesity and adding a work out program to your life is not often addressed, but for those dealing with this issue, you’ll find the information provided here to be very timely. This is a vital point. First you’ve got to want it…Then you’ve got to push past the obstacles. For those who are severely overweight and not used to any type of exercise, you’ll have to start out differently than individuals who may be moderately overweight. You’ll be faced with a different set of problems. Problems like fatigue, trouble with work out equipment, and even that awkward feeling of being severely overweight and trying to make it through exercise routines that seem so easy to others. This is all part of your battle. Nobody said it was going to be easy…But the good news is, “It’s Possible!”
You can reverse your type 2 diabetes, even from a point of obesity and we are going to help you succeed!

A Merry Heart Doeth Good Like a Medicine — Proverbs 17:22
What an amazing Scripture, isn’t it? Most of us have heard it before, but let’s take a closer look at these wise words of Solomon.
Today, more than ever before, our society has become very proactive about our health. Just looking through the aisles of any bookstore, you can find countless rows of self-help books that instruct us on the proper way to strengthen our bodies, heal our emotions, and live longer, fuller, more productive lives. We are growing in our knowledge of getting back to basics, eating organically, simplifying our lives, and eliminating stress. There is one vital element to total health and well being that just can’t be ignored, though. The Bible calls it a merry heart.
The Hebrew translation of the phrase “doeth good” is the word yatab, which means to literally “make well, make happy and successful.” That’s pretty good stuff.
To look at this scripture from a medical standpoint is even more amazing. Our bodies, created and designed perfectly by God, are made to produce their own disease fighting chemicals. When we are happy, carefree, and joyful, our bodies secret two different and extremely powerful chemicals.
The first type of chemicals that are released in your body as a result of joy are “neuropeptides.” I bet you didn’t know that these are the exact same chemicals that are synthetically reproduced and injected into cancer patients. Yep…neuropeptides are proven to be so healing to the human body, that they can eradicate cancer cells and promote balance in the body. These medical injections can cost up to $40,000 per shot, but our bodies produce them for free when we have a merry heart.
The second chemicals that are released into our bloodstream when we experience joy are “opioids.” When opioids hit our bloodstream, they rev up our immune system by connecting with “monocytes” and triggering a series of events that end up destroying dangerous bacteria and viruses which threaten our health.
Opioids also produce feelings of calmness and tranquility. Yes, the root word opium is derived from this chemical. Funny how cheap and often dangerous imitations crop up from things that God has designed. Only true joy can release this chemical naturally.
Get on the Healing Path
Can you see how important laughter, merriment, and joy are to our bodies and our spirits? The Bible tells us that we are fearfully and wonderfully made. God’s design for us is to live stress free, relying on Him, walking in His joy, His peace, and His abundance.
Regardless of our outward circumstances, it really is possible to walk in happiness. The Word tells us, “The joy of the Lord is our strength.” That should be a very freeing sentence to those of us who are used to digging our heels in, gritting our teeth, and taking our goals and careers a little too seriously.
Bottom line here? Take time to laugh. Take time to live, to breath, and to focus on the things that will really matter in the long run. Yes, the day to day stresses of life will come and try to rob you of your joy, but you don’t have to let that happen. God wants you to be free from the heavy burdens and stress of life. It can begin for you today.
You’ll find that you get a lot more accomplished and have a much better time doing those things when you allow the joy of the Lord to infuse your being!
Oh, and one more thing….joy is contagious! So, get out there and spread some medicine today!
You’ll Never Have to Wonder Again

Have you ever faced an anxiety, a problem, or a particular stress in your life and just felt…well, lost? If so, I’ve got good news for you today. You never have to feel that way again. That’s a pretty bold statement, I know, but it’s completely true.
Many believers face times of stress wondering how to pray, what to do, or how to un-do whatever the particular situation is. Maybe you are going through something like this right now.
Identify the Problem
The problem here is not that you don’t know what to pray, and ironically, the real problem is NOT the actual situation. The problem is being unsure of the will of God. Let’s look at it in simplest terms. Read more

And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not. — Galatians 6:9
The Bible talks an awful lot about being diligent. In today’s fast paced, “I want it right now” society, that’s not always what we want to hear. Often, whether we are talking about relationships or business, we want the easiest way and the shortcut to success.
God’s Word doesn’t change, and regardless of the “now” society, the secret to true success in anything is diligence.
Diligence Brings Success
Have you ever had one of those days, or weeks, or months, when you have prayed, you’ve done your best, you’ve believed that a situation would turn around, and instead of getting better, things just keep getting worse?
If so, I have wonderful news for you. Read more
Happy Valentine’s Day: The World Will Know Us By Our Love

Valentine’s Day is right around the corner, and it is one of the largest spending holidays on the retail shopping calendar. According to the National Retail Federation’s predictions for 2011, Americans will spend an average of $115 on expressing their love for their sweetheart this year. Although the economy has been down, this average is up over ten percent from last year’s figures. In total, we will spend over $15 billion on candy, jewelry, dinners, and Valentine’s Day cards.
Although those figures are a great boost for the economy, how long will the afterglow of this national holiday last? If you play your cards right, you can use Valentine’s Day (or any day) to turn your life into a consistent walk of love. Read more
Newsflash! God’s Plan for You is Prosperity…

Is this a prosperity message? Absolutely…
Too many individuals today (Christians included) get all squirmy when it comes to talking about prosperity. I’ve got news for you. It’s not that big of a deal.
Does God want us, as His children, to prosper? Yes, He does. If you read the Word to any extent, it’s pretty plainly written.
In Jeremiah 29:11, God tells us this, “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “Plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
In 2 Corinthians 9:8, He declares, “And God will generously provide all you need. Then you will always have everything you need and plenty left over to share with others.”
God’s desire is never to have His people limping around or living in lack. If you think this somehow brings pleasure or glory to your Creator, think again. Now, as with anything that we are given, there certainly is a level of responsibility. But it’s really not too difficult to understand that part either. God wants us to prosper not only financially, but in all areas of our life. He wants us to have healthy relationships, stable emotions, wisdom, and to live in health. That is His ultimate desire for us. Do we all live in that kind of abundance? No, we don’t. But, just because we aren’t experiencing it, doesn’t make it untrue. Read more
Are You Your Own Worst Enemy?

I have one quick, possibly life changing question for you this morning. Are you your own worst enemy? Before you answer, let me qualify this question with a quick story from the Word, along with a few more heart-seeking questions.
The Story of Martha and Mary
Most of us are well acquainted with the Biblical story of Martha, Mary, and Jesus. If you are not, here’s the quick overview:
As Jesus and his disciples were on their way, He came to a village where a woman named Martha opened her home to Him. She had a sister called Mary, who sat at the Lord’s feet listening to what he said. But Martha was distracted by all the preparations that had to be made. She came to him and asked, “Lord, don’t you care that my sister has left me to do the work by myself? Tell her to help me!”
“Martha, Martha,” the Lord answered, “you are worried and upset about many things, but only one thing is needed. Mary has chosen what is better, and it will not be taken away from her.” — Luke 10:38-42
The story seems simple enough, doesn’t it? Martha was a doer, and basically a good person. Nothing wrong with that, right? Read more
How to Simplify Your Christianity

“Mankind, left free, instinctively complicates life.” — Katherine Gerould (1879 – 1944)
If you’ve been keeping up to date with the latest trends, I’m sure you’ve noticed the move toward simplifying our lives. Countless websites and magazine articles teach on the art of decluttering our homes, downsizing, and living sustainable, manageable lives that are not filled with “things to take care of,” and “things to maintain.”
The act of decluttering our physical lives is an important one that can remove a huge amount of unnecessary stress and remind us of the things that are truly important. As a country, we were moving so quickly for so long at acquiring more stuff, more toys, and more gadgets that we hardly had time to live our lives. Now, in an attempt to regroup and create balance, we see a renewal of the desire to simplify.
As believers, we can also take this wave of interest one step further by simplifying our Christianity. Read more
