Jeff~ another “wake me upper”~ My hsuband is SOOO GOOD TO ME.. just as this parent is preparing this meal for the child. And i have become so used to him doing all these extra things for me, I have become accustomed to it and think nothing of it.. Shame on me! Similarly, Mt 12 speaks about how what fills up our hearts our mouths speak. So, you might ask youself “How do I get rid of what I know to be NOT from God?”. AHA, the directions are clear, “transform yourself by the renewing of your mind…”. The more of Him we put into ourselves, the more of Him comes out. As to how this all happens, well, the Holy Spirit takes care of that!! Are we required to be active participants? Well duh…

This is good stuff, Chillin’. For myself, and many others, the promise found in God’s instruction manual, where He says “transform yourself by the renewing of your mind…”, has tremendous impact in our daily lives when we begin to actualize. In other words, the more of His word we put into ourselves the more of His word, the texture and intent, begins to flow out of us. It is that transformation that, when we begin to say things to ourselves like “Wow, where did that come from!” or “I really said that?”, brings us along that road of spiritual growth He intends for all of us to travel. Now, do we all travel to this destination? Probably not, but not to worry, we haven’t caught God by surprise. Keep your eyes on the prize, or, as Paul says of himself “I claim to know nothing except Christ and him crucified”, knowing that when it is that we do this, humbly, the Spirit will lead us to places we perhaps thought unobtainable. To that total surrender wherein our lives begin to reflect our Savior. It starts, and ends, at the cross
