The world is bursting with people who have not tapped into their true potential!  We are a planet with millions and millions of individuals wandering in confusion, asking the question of questions– “What should I be doing?”  In the Bible the Israelites spent 40 years wandering around the desert and circling the same mountain again and again.  How could this be? It was a mere eleven day journey!

Ever felt the same way?  Ever felt like you’re not getting anywhere in life…like you’ve been going through the motions and you know you’re just not where you’re supposed to be?  It’s frustrating!  You’re certain there’s more…you know that you have talents, gifts and a whole bunch to offer.  You’re just not sure where to go or how to get started.  Ever felt that way?  I have!

In the late 1990’s, leaving behind my career as a chiropractor and franchise builder I ventured into the desert.  At the time I left my company we were one of the largest grossing and fastest growing chiropractic groups in the country.  I wasn’t really sure where I was going.  I began to wander around the same mountains again and again, wondering where I would end up.  Keep in mind that at this point in my life I was a Christian but I didn’t really think it was necessary to seek the Lord for direction…how incredibly naïve that was!

I spent the next few years developing my passion for coaching and encouraging people.  But fate would soon step in and lure me back to the medical field.  Was I just going around the same mountain again?

I was!  In 2001 my wife Coni and I founded a diagnostic company that we would sell to a public company four years later.  We were having incredible financial success but we were unfulfilled on the inside…in the heart where it really matters. We were always looking for the next business adventure thinking that this would be the “thing” that was going to bring fulfillment in our lives.

We also experienced some incredible business failure at the same time.  God has a way of getting our attention doesn’t He?  In Romans 8 it says that He can turn lemons into lemonade if we’ll keep our eyes on Him.  Well…life brought on some lemons, and the Lord was faithful to His word!

You know the coolest thing about all the business endeavors we were part of? They were ventures that impacted peoples’ lives for the good.  Over the last decade our businesses have been able to impact over 30,000 folks.  God was using our past experiences to lead us to where we are today.  Could He be doing that for you too?

What does all this have to do with this blog?

Simple.  Though I don’t compare myself to the great Israelites of the desert wondering days such as Moses, this blog tears many pages from the Bible that point out that God has a plan for your life.  Before you were born, God knew you!  He created you for a specific purpose, and gave you the gifts and talents that He wanted YOU to have.

Within these pages we’re going to explore all the aspects of our lives, and see what God has to say about them.  I will offer not only my own stories, but those of many people that I’ve had the opportunity to meet, work with, learn from and observe.  To their stories I add my own voice.

This blog and the people it serves is about being real, relevant, personal, transparent and just plain practical.  These posts are useful and can be implemented in everyday life to help you make decisions based on the experiences of the very people whose stories fill its pages.  It is my hope that we can all learn from the life-altering experiences of others.

Through it, I hope to inspire you to walk closer with the Lord and look to Him in everything you do.  I hope to nudge you to do a few things that you may find uncomfortable; but always for good reason…so that you might grow and live the life that God has designed for you.

The blog revolves around:

 

• Healthy Living and Wellness: It’s simple over sixty percent of us are obese. Stress is killing more of us than cancer. We are one of the sickest industrialized nations in the world. A large percentage of us don’t exercise on a regular basis. We’re exhausted at the end of the day, and we watch too much TV. Then, we ask God, “Why aren’t I living the life you have planned for me?” We are going to attack this area with a vengeance because God can use you much more readily if you’re physically ready for battle!

 

• Spiritual Abundance: If you’re married or dating, how did you get to know the one you love? You must spend time with someone to get to know them. Our relationship with the Lord is no different. We are going to open up and expand areas of our spiritual life so that we experience massive abundance.

• Career Transformation/Development: What would happen in your career if you put meaning ahead of money? It’s not always the easiest thing to do, but when it happens…look out! We’re going to really dig into your strengths and gifts and how each one of us has been blessed with specific talents. If we unleash these in our careers what can happen?  

 

• Life Development: Much like career we have strengths and talents we can use in our everyday lives. In our relationships, interactions and every day lives God has gifted us with a plan and purpose. Let’s unlock those gifts and soar. This blog will spent countless posts here…in the development of “you”.

 

• Living Now! Being Present Time Conscience: God has given us enough grace for today. His mercies are new every morning. We miss out on so much because we worry and are anxious about the future. The definition of anxiety is spending today trying to figure out tomorrow. This blog is going to explore the blessings of living in the present. We will focus on being grateful, forgiving, loving, compassionate, respectful and Christ-like.
